Abstract

In order to determine the regulatory effect of chemical regulators on root growth of wheat under salt stress,a solution culture experiment using NaCl to induce salt stresses was carried out to evaluate the effects of seed soaked with four chemical regulators(S-3307,SA,NaSiO4,and La(NO3)3) on the growth and antioxidant enzyme activity of wheat seedling and root. The results showed that: comparing with the control, seed soaking with chemical regulators enhanced seedling growth and increased the plant height, leaf area, total root length and number, and fresh weight, chlorophyll content and Pro content and the activities of SOD and POD;The soluble sugar content increased unsignificantly; The MDA decreased significantly at the same time.Soaking seeds with chemical regulators could play an important role in raising healthy wheat seedlings wheat under slat-stresses.
