Abstract
Ludipress ® seems to be a very good excipient for direct compression. Good tablets could be prepared at low compression forces. Addition of a glidant was necessary. Mixing time of glidants, e.g. magnesium stearate and Pruv (sodium stearyl fumarate) had almost no effect on crushing strength. Pruv showed an advantage above the use of magnesium stearate in that the disintegration time was almost not influenced. The binding capacity of Ludipress was higher in comparison with microcrystalline cellulose
