Trade and Investment Law and Green Industrial Policy

Abstract

Green industrial policy can be pursued by a wide range of policies. Some of those may conflict with states' obligations under international trade law and investment law. This chapter explores the interface, assessing the policy space to use the most popular tools of green industrial policy, focusing on those few that may be problematic from an international legal perspective.
