Six diverse lines of tomato were crossed with four testers inline x tester (L×T) cross design to investigate the extent ofheterosis for yield and its contributing traits in tomato. Thepresent investigation was carried out under AICRP onVegetable Crops at Horticultural Research cum InstructionalFarm, Department of Vegetable Science, IGKV, Raipur (C.G.)during rabi 2017-18. A high degree of heterosis wasobserved for most of the characters under investigation.High per se performance with remarkable heterosis wereexpressed by PR x 14/TLCV-3, KA x 15/TLCV-2, H-86 x 14/TLCV-3, KA x 14/TLCV-3 and H-24 x 14/TLCV-1 for higherfruit yield, however, a high degree of heterosis for othertraits in desired direction was also observed
