Abstract
The heterosis of yield and fiber quality traits of 22 hybrids which were crossed with the new genetic male line GA18 was analyzed,the results showed that the average mid-parent heterosis for boll weight was 5.37 % and 50 % combinations showed over-high parent heterosis,but the heterosis of lint percent were not significant.The fiber length of the most combination showed mid-parent heterosis and 50 % combinations showed over-high parent heterosis.The fiber micronaire of the most combinations showed negative heterosis.The combinations of which mid-parent heterosis and over-high parent heterosis for the fiber strength were over 5 % were 36.4 % and 27.3 %.
