Abstract
This chapter proposes that the mediation of providing information in all the cognitive and affective dimensions of learning, cooperation and resolution of decision and information problem be classified as “cogito-mediation” and evaluated “in terms of knowledge and know-how”. It considers the translation of decision problem into information problem in the intermediation, infomediation and cogito-mediation of relationships between the decision-maker, the watcher and information as the essential feature of the Competitive Intelligence 2.0 process. The goal of this mutual trust is to facilitate the translation of a decision problem into an information problem. Throughout the chapter, different relationships, mediations and processes within a triangle formed by the decision-maker, the watcher and information have been elaborated. It highlights the apparent contradiction between the economic theory, which advocates that the value of a good depends on its scarcity and the definition of information whose value increases in proportion to its circulation. Controlled Vocabulary Terms competitive intelligence; economics
