Abstract
This study aims to analyze the functions of acquiring leaners language that are used effective communication, integrated and expressive function. The studies was carried out to investigate that the first language is very closely related both social development and social identity. The first language refers to the language mastered by the children. The acquisition of language is a special device to master which consists of grammar or knowledge of children's language, divided into three components, namely: phonology, semantics and syntax. In particular, this study proposes that language acquisition be formed as a population of regional dialect and solidarity. The data that has been collected through the results of student project based learning, then analyzed with descriptive qualitative methods. Language acquisition is a process used by children to master, up to the university level and produce the language they hear around them accidentally or without instructions. The reacting to the global and national diversity, the government of Indonesia put English as one of the local content materials at elementary school. The acquisition of Makassar language is one of the justification of innate linguistic both knowledge and historical language. Regional languages are also part of culture which is very fulfill to be fostered, developed and promoted in order to grow the potential of local language. This study is under sociolinguistic studies which is related to regional dialect, students are assigned to make video using varieties of different regional dialect among the group member of students then transcribe differently. Thus local language of Indonesian can be divided into internal and external factors; particularly, the internal knowledge of linguistic structures and the external linguistic experience students receive
