Abstract
Premature ejaculation causes a feeling of lack of sexual satisfaction, and sexual disharmony and a sharp decline in quality of life. For the treatment of premature ejaculation is widely used of serotonin selective reuptake inhibitors, including dapoxetine. In our clinic we used 30 mg. of dapoxetine two hours before sexual intercourse. Such treatment was prescribed for 36 men with premature ejaculation. Their age ranged from 21 to 51 years. Treatment performed for 26 patients (72%). 10 patients (28%) refused to take dapoxetine because high price of this medication. The assessment of the effectiveness of treatment dapoxetin therapy was carried out by psychometric questionnaire the Premature Ejaculation Profile (PEP) with a comprising four questions and evaluated the subjective feelings of the patient by a five-scores scale (from 0 to 4). It was included the control of ejaculation, the emotional frustration, the inter-personal relationships with the sexual partner and the satisfaction with the sexual life.
