Diagnostic value of transabdominal color Doppler ultrasound and transvaginal color Doppler ultrasound in uterine scar pregnancy

Abstract
Objective To investigate the clinical value of transabdominal color Doppler ultrasound and transvaginal color Doppler ultrasound in the diagnosis of uterine scar pregnancy. Methods Forty-two patients with suspected uterine scar pregnancy in Houma People’s Hospital from January 2013 to July 2018 were examined by transabdominal color Doppler ultrasound and transvaginal color Doppler ultrasound. The results of the two examinations and combined examination were recorded and compared with the results of pathological diagnosis or follow-up diagnosis. Results Forty-two patients with suspected uterine scar pregnancy successfully completed transabdominal and transvaginal color Doppler ultrasonography. The sensitivity and specificity of transabdominal and transvaginal color Doppler ultrasound examination for uterine scar pregnancy were low. The sensitivity of transabdominal examination was 55.56%, and the specificity was 50.00%. The sensitivity of transvaginal examination was 61.11%, and the specificity was 66.67%. The sensitivity and specificity of the combined examinations were 88.89%, 83.33%, respectively, higher than the two single mothods and the differences were significant (P<0.05). Conclusions In the actual diagnosis of suspected uterine scar pregnancy patients, the combined application of transabdominal color ultrasound, transvaginal color ultrasound examination is recommended, which is conducive to improving the correct detection rate of such diseases, so as to ensure the efficacy and prognosis of patients.
