Comparison of the diagnostic value of enhanced CT and color Doppler ultrasound in patients with acute pancreatitis

Abstract

Objective To compare the value of enhanced CT and color Doppler ultrasound in the diagnosis of acute pancreatitis. Methods The clinical data of 100 patients with acute pancreatitis were retrospectively analyzed. All patients received enhanced CT scan and color Doppler ultrasound scanning, and the diagnostic coincidence rates of the two imaging methods were collected. Results The diagnostic accordance rate of enhanced CT for acute pancreatitis was 94.00%, and the diagnostic accordance rate of color Doppler ultrasound was 85.00%, and the diagnostic coincidence rate of enhanced CT for mild AP was 90.70%, which was significantly higher than that of color Doppler ultrasound (74.42%), there was significant difference(P 0.05). Detection rate of sound image: for the detection rate of uneven pancreatic parenchyma and signs of extra pancreatic abscess, there was no significant difference between the two methods (P>0.05); the detection rate of enhanced CT scan for localized enlargement was higher than that of color Doppler ultrasound, and the detection rate of pancreatic duct dilatation and biliary stone sign was lower than that of color Doppler ultrasound (P<0.05). Conclusions The enhanced CT has high value in the diagnosis of acute pancreatitis, but color Doppler ultrasound is more valuable in the diagnosis of biliary acute pancreatitis. The two methods can make up for each other. If necessary, the two methods can be combined to improve the early detection rate of acute pancreatitis and improve the prognosis.
