Clinical applicction of lacrimal duct stent in the treatment of lacrimal duct diseases

Abstract
Objective
To evaluate the clinical efficacy of lacrimal duct stent for the treatment of lacrimal duct diseases.
Methods
Fifty eyes of 45 cases with lacrimal duct diseases treated by lacrimal duct stent implantation or lacrimal duct stent implantation combined with dacryocystorhinostomy were collected and analyzed retrospectively.
Results
After 12 months of follow-up, 45 eyes (90.00%) were cured, 5 eyes (10.00%) were improved. No complication occurred during the treatment.
Conclusion
Lacrimal duct stent is an effective method for the treatment of diseases of lacrimal duct.
