Abstract
Objective To analyze the serum levels of gastrin 17 (G-17) and CA19-9 and pepsinogen ratio in patients with chronic atrophic gastritis. Methods 79 patients with chronic atrophic gastritis treated at our hospital from January to December, 2014 were selected as an observation group and 95 with chronic non-atrophic gastritis a control group. The serum levels of G-17, CA19-9, PG Ⅰ, and PG Ⅱ were detected and calculated. Results The serum levels of G-17 and CA19-9 were higher and the PG I level was lower in the observation group than in the control group. The serum levels of G-17 and CA19-9 increased and the PG Ⅰ level decreased with the severity of chronic atrophic gastritis. There were no statistical differences in PG Ⅱ level and pepsinogen ratio between these two groups. Conclusions The increase of the serum levels G-17 and CA19-9 and the decrease of pepsinogen indicate chronic atrophic gastritis and has diagnostic value for chronic atrophic gastritis and pepsinogen ratio is low, so it is worth for comprehensive application. Key words: Chronic atrophic gastritis; CA19-9; Gastrin
