Abstract

Objective To evaluate the effect of laryngeal mask airway in patients undergoing neurosurgical procedure. Methods Forty patients were randomly divided into the endotracheal tube intubation in general anesthesia group (group T) and laryngeal mask airway intubation in general anesthesia group (group L).BP,HR,SpO2 were continuously monitored during anesthesia, and also the anesthesia effects and side effects were observed. Results Hemodynamic variable of BP and HR during intubation and extraction in group L were significantly smaller than that in group T.Ventilation of laryngeal mask airway was good. The time of taken out of the theatre in group L were shorter than that in group T.The side effect like cough and sore throat in group L were smaller than that in group T.Conclusions Using laryngeal mask airway in patients undergoing neurosurgical procedure is beneficial for keeping hemodynamic stable and safe. Key words: Laryngeal mask airway; Anesthesia; Neurosurgical procedure
