Abstract

Objective To access the teaching effects of problem-based learning (PBL) of medical undergraduate students, and to investigate the strengths and weaknesses of PBL teaching method applied in teaching of Epidemiology, in order to provide a theoretical basis for further improving the teaching effect in epidemiology. Methods Design a reliable and good PBL teaching quality assessment questionnaire, and conduct a survey to medical undergraduate students that take PBL courses. Results The PBL teaching method applied in epidemiology has played a good effect in clinical undergraduate students. They can master the keys of the course, and most of them support the PBL teaching method in the two chapters of ep-idemiology course. Conclusions PBL teaching method can improve the motivation and interest of the students, which can help them to master the basic knowledge and improve their abilities to analyze and solve practical problems. Key words: Problem-based learning; Epidemiology; Teaching effect; Assessment
