Abstract

Objective To compare the diagnostic values of 3 - dimention computed tomography angiography (3D - CTA ) and 3 - dimention digital subtraction angiography ( 3D - DSA) in intracranial aneurysms. Methods Forty -six patients with spontaneous subarachnoid hemorrhage (sSAH) admitted from June 2009 to June 2010 performed 3D - CTA and 3D - DSA examinations. The characteristics of 3D -CTA and 3D - DSA images were compared. Results Fifty - two aneurysms were found in 43 patients. There was no significant difference in accuracy between 3D -CTA and 3D -DSA.Conclusions 3D -CTA could be the first choice for patients with subarachnoid hemorrhage. More useful information could be obtained from 3D - DSA. Key words: Intracranial aneurysm; Tomography, spiral computer; Angiography, digital subtraction
