Abstract

Objective To study the value of 3-dimensional computed tomography angiography(3D-CTA)and 3-dimensional digital subtraction angiography(3D-DSA)in the diagnosis of intracranial aneurysms. Methods The 3D-CTA and 3D-DSA images of 51 patients with aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage were retrospectively analyzed. The sensitivity, accuracy and accordance in detecting the aneurysm features and the relationship of parent artery were compared between the results of CTA and DSA.Results A total of 56 aneurysms in 51 cases were detected.Of 49 cases,54 aneurysms were detected by CTA with the sensitivity of 96.1% and accordance of 97.4%,which also detected by DSA with the sensitivity of 96.1% and accordance of 97.9%.When the diameters of the aneurysm were ranged from 3.1 to 5mm,and from 5.1 to 10mm,the images revealed by 3D-CTA were similar to those by 3D-DSA.Conclusion 3D-CTA or 3D-DSA examination has its own advantage in the diagnosis of aneurysms with subarachnoid hemorrhage.
