Effects of traditional Chinese medicine nursing on nursing satisfaction, anxiety and depression of patients undergoing orthopedic surgery

Abstract
Objective
To explore the influence of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) nursing on nursing satisfaction, anxiety and depression of patients undergoing orthopedic surgery.
Methods
A total of 50 patients who underwent bone surgery in this hospital from February 2016 to June 2017 were selected as research objects.Randomly divided into control group and observation group, 25 cases of each group.The control group adopted routine nursing intervention.While the observation group adopted TCM nursing intervention.Compliance, total satisfaction, Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) score and Self-rating Depression Scale (SDS) score were observed and compared between the two groups.
Results
The total compliance rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group.Total satisfaction was higher than that of control group.The VAS and SDS scores were lower than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).
Conclusions
Compared with conventional nursing intervention, TCM nursing intervention for patients with osteosurgery can not only improve patient compliance, patients' satisfaction with hospital medical service, but also improve patients' negative emotions. This nursing model has excellent clinical effects, and is worthy of clinical promotion and application.
