An operation on primary stage of lower eyelid entropion, fatty single upper eyelid and epicanthus

Objective To discuss the operation and esthetic effects on primary stage of lower eyelid entropion,fatty single upper eyelid and epicanthus.Methods Designed a new point of canthus and adopted the cutting around the eyelash to correct and cure the epicanthus.Cut the epicanthus parallel to the upper and lower eyelid to the new point of canthus.Separated the upper and lower eyelids and orbicularis muscle,and sewed up the skins of the original and new points of eanthus.Took a cross-cutting 1.5mm under the lower eyelash to connect the epicanthus.Separated the skin to infraorbital margin.Separated 4mm muscle flap below the palpebral margin.Shortened it along the outer canthus and cut the surplus skin and sewed up the incision.Finally,took the incomplete double eyelid plasty with incision,just focusing on the matching between the inner canthus and epicanthus.Results The lower eyelid entropion of all 32 eyes of 16 cases were corrected,with the natural double eyelid,significantly long and large palpebral fissure,without any epicanthus.Conclusions Such combined operation for the eyes can not only cure the diseases,but also achieve the certain esthetic effects.It is the time-saving and economical operation,worthy to be popularized.
