Study on improving efficiency of operation room by multidisciplinary combination and fine process management

Abstract

Objective To explore the effect of multidisciplinary combination and fine process management in operation room. Methods 106 patients treated at our hospital from January, 2015 to January, 2017 were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group, 53 cases for each group. The control group received routine nursing process management, and the observation group received a multidisciplinary and meticulous process management. The founding proportion of operation time, the transfer time of continuous operation, surgical delay ratio, patients’ and physicians’ satisfaction, nursing quality, and surgical effect were compared between these two groups. Results The patients' overall satisfaction was 98.11% the total score of quality of care (102.13±2.78), and the operation efficiency 98.11% in the observation group, which were significantly higher than those in the control group [84.91% (63.83±2.78) and 90.56%], with statistical differences (all P<0.05). Conclusion Fine process management is helpful to improve the satisfaction of nursing management in operation room, the nursing quality, and the operation effect, so it is worth being generalized in clinic.
