Clinical analysis of tripterygium glycosides combined with methotrexate and leflunomide in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis

Abstract
Objective To study the effect of tripterygium wilfordii polyglycoside(TWP) combined with methotrexate and leflunomide on the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis(RA). Method All 100 patients were randomly divided into the control group and the experimental group with 50 cases in each group.The control group was treated with methotrexate plus leflunomide, and the experimental group was treated with tripterygium glycosides, methotrexate and leflunomide.Observation and detection of two groups before and after treatment of all kinds of signs such as the time of morning stiffness、joint swelling、erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR)、C-reactive protein(CRP)、rheumatoid factor(RF)、inflammatory cytokines、anti-inflammatory cytokines changes.And the results were statistically analyzed. Results The experimental results showed that the effective rate of RA in the experimental group was 94%, which was better than that of the control group by 78%.And the observation and testing indicators, such as joint swelling number、joint tenderness、patient evaluation、doctor evaluation、ESR、CRP、RF and so on, the experimental group is better than the control group.The number of joint swelling and joint tenderness in the experimental group were(3.11±1.68)and(4.54±2.98)after treatment respectively, which were significantly lower than(5.85±1.26)and(6.82±1.87)in the control group.The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). Inflammatory factors, anti-inflammatory factors were all related to the results of the reports, and the improvement of the experimental data was better than that of the control group. Conclusion TWP combined with western medicine in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis shows high efficiency, and improvement the signs of RA patients.TMP may has excellent synergistic function.
