Influence of pain control nursing on postoperative pain and comfort of elderly operation patients

Objective To explore the application effect of pain control nursing in postoperative nursing of elderly operation patients. Methods In our hospital from February 2012 to April 2013 operation treatment of 120 cases of elderly operation patients were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group, two groups was given the same preoperative nursing, the control group was received routine postoperative nursing, the observation group was given pain control nursing based on the control group, postoperative pain, postoperative recovery, comfort and satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results Postoperative pain scores were lower than those in the control group, mild pain and moderate pain were higher than those in the control group, severe pain was less than that in the control group, use of analgesics was less than that in the control group, with statistical significance （ P 〈 0. 05 ）. Comfort scores in the physiological, psychological, social environment, cultural aspects in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, with statistical significance （ P 〈 0. 05 ）. The hospitalization time in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group, nursing satisfaction was higher than that in the control group with statistical significance （ P 〈 0. 05 ） . Conclusions Pain control nursing can meet the humanized nursing principles, significantly reduce postoperative pain after operation in elderly patients, and improve patients＇ comfort.
