Reliability and validity analysis of six dimension scale of nursing performance

Objective To analyze the reliability and validity of 6-D scale of nursing performance,and examine whether it is suitable in China.Methods Exploratory factor analysis,test-retest reliability,internal consistency reliability and split-half reliability were used to examine the reliability and validity of the 6-D scale.Results Exploratory factor analysis of Chinese 6-D scale and 5 common factors whose eigenvalue was bigger than 1 showed that,the accumulative contribution rate was 52.293％,the internal consistency coefficient Cronbach's αwas 0.948,half coefficient was 0.816,and ICC test-retest reliability coefficient was 0.857.Except for entry 8,13 and 30,all other entries in Chinese 6-D scale were well expressed in 6 factors and fell in its dimension.Conclusions 6-D scale is verified with a good reliability and validity for evaluating nurses'clinical competence in China.
