Abstract
Objective To investigate the efficacy of comfort care for patients with upper gastrointestinal bleeding. Methods 80 patients with upper gastrointestinal bleeding were selected from our hospital from May,2012 to May,2013 and then were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group,40 cases for each group.Comfort care was implemented in the observation group during hospitalization, and routine care was implemented in the control group. The clinical efficacies and patients' satisfaction of the two groups were analyzed. Results Mean bleeding times, hemostatic time and hospitalization time of the observation group were all lower than that of the control group, with statistical differences(P < 0.05).The observation group had higher nursing care satisfaction than the control group, with a statistical difference(P < 0.05).Conclusions Comfort care can improve the clinical treatment efficacy of the patients with upper gastrointestinal bleeding and their satisfaction and is worth being clinically generalized. Key words: Comfort care; Cpper gastrointestinal bleeding; Patients' satisfaction
