Clinical value of combined detection of tumor markers in differentiation of benign and malignant pleural effusion

Abstract

Objective To study the clinical value of combined detection of tumor markers in differentiate cancer pleural effusion from inflammatory pleural effusion.Methods Eighty cases of cancer pleural effusion and 102 cases of inflammatory pleural effusion were analyzed of the CEA,CA125,SF.Resuits CEA,CA125,SF levels of cancer pleural effusion group were significantly higher than that of normal average high limit,inflammatory pleural effusion group were below the normal average level(P <0.05); The positive rate of tumor markers in cancer pleural effusion group was 96.00%,inflammatory hydrothorax group was 26.48%(P < 0.05).Conclusions Combined detection of three tumor markers (CEA,CA125,SF)for differentiation of benign and malignant pleural effusion have clinical value.
