Abstract

In asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary diskase, airway inflammation reaction runs through the development and prognosis of the disease. It has been found that many cells and cytokines are involved in airway inflammation reaction. As a novel cytokine,interleukin-32 (IL-32) plays an irreplaceable role in inflammation reaction. IL-32 mainly exists in natural killer cells,T lymphocytes, epithelial cells and monocytes, plays an important role in innate immunity and specific immunity. In the inflammatory reaction,IL-32 can induce the activity of certain cytokines, such as IL, tumor necrosis factor-α, nuclear factor, mitogen-activated protein kinase and various chemotactic factors, which can form inflammation cascade reaction, result in partial airway inflammation, even systemic inflammatory reaction. This article summarizes the role of IL-32 in the airway inflammatory reaction. Key words: Interleukin-32 ; Airway inflammatory reaction;  Inflammatory factor
