Detection of circulating tumor cells and its clinical relevance in patients with lung cancer

Abstract
The application value of circulating tumor cells in the early detection of postoperative recurrence and distant metastasis and in the evaluation of curative effect and prognosis has become the focus of clinical research.But circulating tumor cells in peripheral blood are rare which can be detected only by special markers.This review addresses the enrichment and detection steps and the markers of circulating tumor cells,and its use in lung cancer.
