Jiushen decoction in the treatment of 50 patients with acute renal failure due to hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome

Objective To study the therapeutic effects of self-drafted Jiushen decoction on patients with acute renal failure due to hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome.Methods Ninty-eight actute renal failure patients were divided into two groups:control group(48 cases) was treated with western medicine,including supportive and diuretic treatment; Treatment group (50 cases) were treated with traditional Chinese medicine of Jiushen decoction ( medicine form:cypsum,anemarrhena asphodel ides,scrophularia ningpoensis hemsl,rehmannia glutinosa,honeysuckle,forsythia suspense,jasmine,scutellaria barcalensis georgi,salvia miltiorrhiza,ligusticum chuanxiong hort,paeonia veitchii).The therapeutic course were 1 week in the two groups.The urine amount and blood plasma carbamide,hemorrhage,kidney function and senses symptoms were observed before and after treatment,and kidney biopsy was performed in part of the patients.Results After treatment,the clinical symptoms and signs were impoved in both groups,but the improvements in observation group were supenor to that in control group (X2 =14.16,P ＜ 0.05).Total effective rate in observation group (92.0％ )was higher than that in control group (60.42％,X2 =18.19,P ＜0.01) ; The histological changes in observation group were better than that in control group,but there was no significant difference.Conclusions The self-drafted Jiushen decoction has good curative effect for microcirculation,it also can improve the kidney function and increase blood replication.
