Abstract
Objective To investigate the application value of peripheral blood lymphocyte immunophenotype test in the assessment of cellular immune function for patients with malignant tumors. Methods All of 150 patients with malignant tumors and 150 healthy individuals were recruited as subjects of this study.Patients were designated as the observation group, while healthy subjects were named as control group.Lymphocytes of peripheral blood were collected for immunophenotypic test. Results The total lymphocyte counts, total T lymphocytes, and CD3+ CD4+ ratio in the observation group were significantly lower than that of the control group(t values were 19.127、4.147、5.198 respectively, all P values<0.05). The levels of CD3+ CD8+ , CD3+ CD56+ , and CD3-CD56+ cells were significantly higher than that of the control group(t values were 5.273、8.656、3.946, all P values<0.05). There was no significant difference in the levels of CD3-CD19+ cells between the two groups.The proportion of total T lymphocyte, CD3+ CD4+ and CD3+ CD56+ cells was the lowest for patients without chemotherapy.The proportion of total T lymphocyte, CD3+ CD4+ , CD3+ CD56+ , CD3-CD56+ cells increased gradually with the increase of chemotherapy cycle, while the proportion of CD3+ CD8+ cells decreased gradually.There were no significant difference in the proportion of total T lymphocytes and CD3-CD19+ cells between the two.The ratio of CD3+ CD4+ cells in the tumor metastasis group was significantly lower than that in the non-metastatic group(t=2.441, P<0.05). CD3+ CD8+ , CD3+ CD56+ , and CD3-CD56+ cells were significantly higher than that of the patients without metastasis(t values were 2.860、3.087、3.061 respectively, all P values<0.05). Conclusion Immunophenotyping of peripheral lymphocytes can be used to evaluate the cellular immune function of cancer patients.
