Endovascular treatment of anterior communicating artery aneurysm

Abstract
Objective To summarize the treatment experience and evaluate outcome of endovascular treatment of anterior communicating artery aneurysms.Methods 98 cases of anterior communicating artery aneurysms were treated with endovascular treatment between March 2006 and December 2009.The pretreatment Hunt and Hess score was grade 1 in 16 patients,grade 2 in 52,grade 3 in 23 and grade 4 in 7.The hemorrhage was early removed from subarachnoid cavity after operation.Results 98 aneurysms were cured succesfully.There was no rebleeding during follow-up period (3 to 36 months) .Conclusion Endovascular treatment is an effective technique for treating anterior communicating artery aneurysms.Advances in techniques and correct treatment of complications will decrease the complications and improve the future outcome.
