Abstract

Objective To explore the influence of nutritional guidance and body quality control during pregnancy on maternal delivery mode and the pregnancy outcome. Methods 110 pregnant women in our hospital from July 2013 to September 2015 were selected, and randomly divided into observation group and control group, 55 cases in each group. Control group received routine obstetric inspection during pregnancy, while observation group received nutritional guidance and body quality control during pregnancy. Compared delivery mode, perinatal conditions, and the process of pregnancy of the two groups. Results The rates of cesarean section and vaginal midwifery of the control group were significantly higher than those of the observation group (18.2% vs.5.5%, 29.1% vs.12.7%), the rate of natural childbirth was significantly lower than that of the observation group (52.7% vs.81.8%), with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). The rates of fetal distress and macrosomia of the control group were significantly higher than those of the observation group (14.5% vs.1.8%, 18.2% vs.5.5%), with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). The incidences of postpartum hemorrhage, anaemia, and oligohydramnios of the control group were significantly higher than those of the observation group, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). Conclusion Prenatal personalized diet guidance and reasonable body quality control, can improve the rate of natural childbirth, reduce the rate of perinatal complications, improve the pregnancy outcome, and ensure maternal and child health. Key words: Prenatal nutritional guidance; Body quality control; Delivery mode; Pregnancy outcome
