Abstract

Objective To observe the effect of new lacrimal retrograde catheter combined with lacrimal laser and tobradex eye ointment for chronic dacryocystitis and lacrimal duct obstruction. Methods 127cases( 139 eyes) were observed, among which 55 eyes with chronic dacryocystitis,52 eyes with nasolacrimal duct obstruction,23 eyes with canalicular and nasolacrimal duct obstruction,9 eyes with canalicular obstmction.First, clear the site of obstruction of lacrimal by using Nd:YAG laser, after which the new silicone lacrimal sustained tubes coasted with oculentum of TobraDex were inserted into the blocked lacrimal area. Results Postoperative followed-up for 6 to 12 months:cured in 104 eyes, improved in 27 eyes, invalid in 8eyes.Conclusion We can use lacrimal retrograde catheter joint lacrimal laser and TobraDex to cure chronic dacryocystitis and lacrimal duct obstruction. The surgery is safe, simple and reliable, with no scars, and can be repeated. Key words: Lacrimal sustained tub, new; Retrograde catheter; Lacrimal laser; Dacryocystitis, chronic; Lacrimal duct obstruction
