Anxiety status and relevant factors investigation in family member of operation patients in outpatients department during waiting time

Objective To explore the anxiety status and relevant factors in family member of operation patients in outpatients department during waiting time,and provide clue for improving nursing service quality.Methods Anxiety scale and self-design questionnaire were used to explore the ananxiety status and relative factors of 50 family members.Results 46 family members were anxiety among the total 50 family members (92％),and anxiety degree was associated with unfamiliar environment,progress of operation,technical level of doctors,process of operation and cost (P ＜ 0.05 ).Conclusions Nurses in out-patients should provide available nursing supports; help them alleviate anxiety during waiting.
