Investigation of anxiety and influencing factors relative to psychological needs of ICU patients' family members.

Objective:To investigate the current situation of anxiety and needs of ICU patients'family members,analyze the correlation between them,to improve the quality of nursing care in ICU through taking a series of corresponding actions.Methods: During the first 24 to 36 h after the patients were admitted in ICU,119 patients'family members were enrolled to complete the SAS and CCFNI.Results:In all investigated family members,the incidence rate of anxiety is 59.7%,information acquisition、access to patients correlated positively with anxiety(r=0.341,p0.01;r=0.363,p0.01),support acquisition、self comfortable correlated negatively with anxiety(r=-0.217,p0.01).Conclusions:There is a high incidence rate of anxiety in ICU patients'family member.Nurses should pay more attention to the family members and provide more psychological nursing when taking care of patients.Thus manifest an idea of humanist nursing.
