Abstract
Objective To observe and analyze the effect of continuous vacuum sealing drainage ( VSD)on the patients with orthopedics trauma. Methods Fifty patients with soft tissue severe traumat-ic defect or open fracture complicated with infection were selected as the research objects and randomly divided into the observation group and the control group, with 25 patients in each group. The patients in the control group were treated with the traditional wound treatments, while the patients in the observation group were treated with VSD for wound treatments. The wound healing time, the wound healing rate after the first skin grafting operation and the skin grafting operation times of the patients in the two groups were observed and compared. Results The average healing time of the patients in the observation group was (18 ± 9)days,while the average healing time of the patients in the control group was(22 ± 10)days. The wound healing time of the patients in the observation group was significantly shorter than that of the control group( P﹤0. 05 ). The wound healing rate after the first skin grafting operation of the patients in the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group( P﹤0. 05 ). And the propor-tions of the patients whose wound healed after two or more skin grafting operations in the observation group were significantly lower than those of the control group( P﹤0. 05 ). Conclusions The application of VSD technology in the treatment of orthopedics open trauma can shorten the wound healing time, improve the wound healing rate after the first skin grafting operation and reduce hospitalization costs.
