Abstract

Objective Leflunomide (LEF) treatment of lupus nephritis Ⅳ clinical results, safety and side effects. Methods 59 patients with lupus nephritis (LN) patients, renal biopsy showed lupus nephritis as the application of leflunomide combined with glucocorticoids for 6 months. During the monitoring of medication blood, urine, 24 h urinary protein, liver and kidney function, antinuclear antibody and antidouble stranded antibodies titer, erythrocyte sedimentation rate, C3, etc, 6 month after assessment of the efficacy and safety. Results of leflunomide treatment of LN remission urine protein was 72.4%, higher than the remission rate cyclophosphamide pulse therapy (57 % ), LN activity index remission rate than the latter. Conclusion leflunomide therapy combined with glucocorticoids to control disease activity and side effects of light and well tolerated. Key words: Lupus nephritis; Leflunomide; Immunosuppressant
