Abstract
Terrain rendering is widely used in urban planning, geographic information system, virtual reality, 3D landscape, 3D game and other fields. This paper studies the terrain optimization based on the level of detail technology, which can reduce the geometric complexity of terrain data, improve the rendering speed of terrain without affecting the user's visual effect.
