Effects of different methods for sealing tubes of intravenous indwelling needle in children

Objective To evaluate the effects of different methods fro sealing tubes of intravenous indwelling needle in children.Methods 200 pediatric patients using Intravenous Gather System with PR N in our hospital between December 2010 to December 2011 were randomly divided into group Ⅰ and group Ⅱ ; each group was then subdivided into groups A and B.The clinical effect of different maintenance solution and different switching to seal up the tube of intravenous indwelling needle were compared.Results HS group with infusion of 2 ml heparine sodium was superior to NS group with infusion of 2 ml normal saline,with a significantly statistical difference ( P ＜ 0.05 ).The group which closed the origin switching of trochar sealing clip was superior to the control group,with a significantly statistical difference ( P＜ 0.05 ).Conclusions Maintenance solution of heparine sodium with close of the origin switching of trochar sealing clip is valuable for sealling up the tubes of intravenous indwelling needle in children.
