Effect of the two different solution used to seal up the tube of intravenous indwelling needle in old patient

Objective To study the effect of two different solution used to seal up the tube of intravenous indwelling needle in old patient.Method Based on the method of random,the 220 old patients who must transfuse for a long-term were divided into two groups: The normal sodium 5 ml was used to seal up the tube of intravenous indwelling needle in the experiment group and heparin solution 3 ml in the control group.The average time of intravenous indwelling were 3～5 days and evaluated their results.Results The ratio of the blood vessel which being blocked up and various kinds of complication in the experiment group was lower than that in the control group,nevertheless,there were no statistical significance(P0.05).Conclusion It is a available and feasible method that normal sodium is a solution to seal up the tube of intravenous indwelling needle.
