Abstract

Objective To explore the effect of cognitive nursing and intervention on reducing postoperative complications and improving the quality of life of patients with sinusitis surgery. Methods A total of 96 cases of patients with sinusitis surgery treated in our hospital from October 2014 to October 2015 were randomly divided into two groups, 48 cases of each group. The control group was treated with routine nursing, while the observation group received cognitive nursing and intervention. The incidence of postoperative complications, length of stay, satisfaction for nursing and quality of life were compared between the two groups. Results The total complication rate of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The length of stay of the observation group was shorter than that of the control group, the scores of satisfaction for nursing were higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The score of the quality of life of the observation group were higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusions The application of cognitive nursing and intervention to patients with sinusitis surgery can significantly decrease the incidence of postoperative complications, shorten the length of stay, improve the patients' satisfaction degree for nursing and patients' quality of life.It is worth clinical application. Key words: Sinusitis surgery; Cognitive nursing and quality of life; Complication
