Percutaneous transhepatic balloon dilation for the treatment of recurrent choledocholithiasis: A case report

Abstract

Objective: To explore the methods and experience of interventional embolization for treatment of intracranial tiny aneurysm. Methods: The clinical data of 120 patients with intracranial tiny aneurysm treated by endovascular embolization during January 2009 to December 2018 were analyzed retrospectively, and the clinical efficacy and intraoperative complications were evaluated. Results: Among 120 patients treated with endovascular coil embolization under the general anesthesia, 96 of them were with stent-assisted embolization, 20 of them were only with coil, and 4 of them were treated with balloon-assisted coiling. Acute thrombosis in stents occurred in 2 patients, rupture and bleeding in 2 patients, coil escape in 1 patient and cerebral infarction after distal vascular occlusion in 1 patient. Seventy patients with aneurysm were followed up for 6-12 months, and there was no recurrence and growth of aneurysms in 68 patients with embolization. Among them, 2 patients were treated with embolization after coil displacement and recurrence. Conclusions: Endovascular embolization for the treatment of ruptured tiny intracranial aneurysms is safe and effective, which is worth to be spread.
