Abstract
Objective To observe the effects of prostaglandin E1 on the treatment of refractory arrhythmia. Methods 32 patients diagnosed with refractory arrhythmia were recruited in the study. Besides previous treatment,0. 9% normal saline 100 ml and 10 mg of prostaglandin E1 were injected quickly for two 7-day period of treatment. Dynamic ECG was used 24 hours to examine the curative effects before and after the treatment. Results For recurrent arrhythmia cases, which cannot be cured by normal anti-arrhythmia treatments, prostaglandin E1 proved to be useful to some extent. Conclusion Using prostaglandin E1 on the treatment of refractory arrhythmia is a new method, which is worthy future studies. Key words: Prostaglandin E1 ; Arrhythmia
