Abstract

Objective To investigate the application effect of prenatal education in maternal care. Methods One hundred of 100 single birth primiparas were divided into the observation group and the control group randomly. The control group was given routine nursing, the observation group was treated with prenatal education.Nursing effect was compared between two groups. Results Health knowledge, subjective choice of vaginal delivery before delivery and the actual proportion of vaginal delivery rate in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P < 0.05).The initial time of lactation, postpartum depression score, complications in the observation group were less than those in the control group, nursing satisfaction was significantly higher than that in control group (P < 0.05).Conclusions Information support can meet the mathers'demand of perinatal health knowledge, increase maternal childbirth knowledge, improve the outcomes of delivery. Key words: Prenatal health education;  Cognitive behavior; Postpartum depression;  Satisfaction degree
