Effect of different doses of rosuvastatin on development of coronary atherosclerotic atherosclerosis in patients with critical coronary artery disease

Abstract

Objective To investigate the effect of different doses of rosuvastatin on the development of coronary atherosclerosis in patients with critical coronary artery disease. Methods 100 patients with coronary artery stenosis treated at our hospital from April, 2016 to April, 2017 were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group. The observation group were treated with rosuvastatin 20 mg/d, and the control group 10 mg/d. 6 months from then, the clinical curative effects in both groups were evaluated. The blood lipid level and the coronary artery stenosis severity score and drug adverse reactions were compared between these two groups. Results The total remission rate and HDL-C level were higher and the levels of TG and TC and coronary artery stenosis severity score were lower in the observation group than in the control group, with statistical differences (all P 0.05). Conclusions A large dose of rosuvastatin for coronary artery stenosis can improve the clinical curative effect, reduce blood pressure level, and delay the development of coronary atherosclerosis, and is safe.
