Abstract

Objective To investigate the clinical characteristics and pathological features of epithelioid sarcoma, in order to improve the awareness of the disease. Methods Two cases of epithelioid sarcoma were studied by histopathological observation and immunohistochemical staining. Results Histopathologicalobservation showed that the tumor consisted of epithelioid cells and spindle cells, which showed an infiltrative growth pattern with nodular arrangement. Immunohistochemical results showed that the tumor cells were positive for CK, EMA and vimentin. Conclusions The epithelioid sarcoma is a rare malignant tumor, which has significant morphological features and immunohistochemistry, and can be helpful in making definite pathological diagnosis. Key words: Epithelioid sarcoma; Clinical characteristics; Pathological features
