Effect of two different total gastrectomy on postoperative reflux esophagitis in patients with upper or middle gastric cancer

Abstract
Objective
To investigate the effect of total gastrectomy Roux-en-Y anastomosis and total gastrectomy Stacked anastomosis and Braun's anastomosis on reflux esophagitis by comparing two different total gastrectomy.
Methods
The clinical data of total gastrectomy in 80 patients with gastric cancer admitted to People's Hospital of Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region from August 2015 to January 2017 were retrospectively analyzed. The incidence of reflux esophagitis within one year after follow-up was retrospectively analyzed.
Results
The rate of reflux esophagitis was 14.3% in the total gastrectomy Roux-en-Y anastomosis group, which was significantly higher than that of Stacked anastomosis and Braun's anastomosis (55.3%) due to total gastrectomy (χ2=7.372, P<0.05).
Conclusion
Total gastrectomy of Roux-en-Y anastomosis maybe reduce the possible of postoperative reflux esophagitis.
