Application of comprehensive community nursing intervention in health related quality of life of pediatric asthma

Abstract
Objective To explore the application of comprehensive community nursing intervention in health related quality of life of pediatric asthma .Methods A total of 120 asthmatic children were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group , with 40 patients each .Patients in both groups were given conventional nursing guidance , while the patients in the observation group were given additional comprehensive community nursing intervention .The level of health related quality of life and treatment effect of all the patients were assessed before and after the intervention .Results After one-year intervention , the score of the health related quality of life and the peak expiratory flow in the observation group were （92.02 ±3.18） and （96.5 ±4.4）%, which were significantly higher than （88.90 ±2.98） and （84.6 ±6.2） in the control group （t=3.855, 12.124, respectively;P 〈0.05）.After the intervention, the times of asthma attack and the emergency admission of the patients in the control group were （1.7 ±1.2） and （1.1 ±1.1）, which were significantly lower than （3.8 ±2.3） and （2.4 ±1.4） in the control group （t=6.270, 5.656, respectively;P〈0.05）.Conclusions Comprehensive community nursing intervention is proved to be effective to raise the level of health related quality of life of pediatric asthma patients .
