Abstract
Objective To implement competence oriented management in post management of nurses in primary hospitals, and to analyze the implementation effect. Methods Competence oriented management in post management of nurses had been implemented in Zaozhuang Central Zone People′s Hospital since December 2011. A total of 50 nurses from departments of obstetrics and gynecology and internal medicine, together with 200 inpatients were selected. Before and after the implementation for 6 months after, patients′ satisfaction with the nurses′ work, nurses′ satisfaction with their own work, and doctors′ satisfaction with the nurses′ work were compared. Results Before and after the implementation, patients′ satisfaction with the nurses′ work were 82.0% and 98.0% (P<0.05), nurses′ satisfaction with their work were 76.0% and 96.0% (P<0.05), and doctors′ satisfaction with the nurses′ work were 66.7% and 93.3% (P<0.05). Conclusions According to actual situation of primary care work, implementation of competence oriented management in post management of nurses in primary hospitals can improve patients′ satisfaction with the nurses′ work, nurses′ satisfaction with their own work, nurses′ work motivation, work efficiency, nurses′ collaboration with doctors, and doctors′ recognition of the nurses′ work, and thus guarantee smooth flow of primary nursing, which is worth promoting.
