Abstract
Objective To investigate the significance of detection of plasma NT-proBNP level in patients with chronic renal failure complicated with heart failure. Methods From March 1, 2016 to December 31, 2017, 84 patients with chronic renal failure who received maintenance hemodialysis in our hospital were divided into two groups according to whether the patients complicated with heart failure or not: heart failure group (n = 56) and non-heart failure group (n = 28). The levels of NT-proBNP and LVEF were measured in all patients, and the patients with heart failure were graded according to the heart failure degree of the New York Heart Association (NYHA). Results The level of NT-proBNP in heart failure group was higher than that in non-heart failure group, LVEF was lower than that in non-heart failure group (P<0.05). The level of NT-proBNP increased and the level of LVEF decreased gradually with the severity of NYHA grading in heart failure group (P<0.05). There was a negative correlation between NT-proBNP level and LVEF level in heart failure group, and a positive correlation between NT-proBNP level and NYHA grade (P<0.05). Conclusion The level of NT-proBNP in patients with chronic renal failure complicated with heart failure increases significantly, and it gradually increases with the severity of heart failure. The detection of plasma NT-proBNP level has a strong clinical reference value in the diagnosis of chronic renal failure patients with early heart failure.
