Abstract

Adoptive cellular immunotherapy (ACI) relies on the transfer of exvivo expanded and activated tumor-specific immunocytes to the tumor-bearing host.Although ACI has emerged as an effective treatment for patients with metastatic melanoma,it acted poorly on other solid tumors. This review discusses the latest developments in the efforts to improve the effectiveness of ACI,especially on the optimization of in vitro cell culture system, the appropriate cell composition, the genetic modificution of immune cells, and the combination with lymphocyte depletion chemotherapy. Key words: Adoptive cellular immunotherapy ; Tumor
