Effect of loop electrosurgical excision procedure in treating 323 cases of cervical erosion

Objective To observe the clinical effects of loop electrosurgical excision procedure(LEEP) in treating cervical erosion(CE). Methods Three hundred and twenty-three patients with CE were treated by LEEP during which different electrodes were used according to lesion area and depth, the margin of resection was 0.3 cm, and the succession and integrity of the specimens should be guaranteed. Curative effect and complication were obsreved.Operative time was 8～10 min,hemorrhagic quantity was 6～10 ml.Results Three hundred and eighteen cases with no recurrence were found 1 month later except that 2 were cervical cancer,and the curative ratio was 98%.Three patients with Ⅲ degree CE were improved and turned to be I degree after 3 month, effective rate was 1%. Conclusions LEEP treatment of cervical erosion is simple,safe,has shorter operation time,less blood loss,lower postoperative complications,higher curative ratio,less cervical function loss, need no anesthesia, and can provide a complete pathological specimens.LEEP can provide diagnosis and treatment of cervical cancer and is the best theatment for CE.
